By implication, what this quote means is that what we think and feel within will manifest in our outer reality. “As within, so without”. It has been calculated that we have around 60,000 thoughts a day, the majority being fear-based. We exist within a dense, slow-moving three-dimensional energetic system of action and reaction and it can be easy to habitually overlook making the connection between our thoughts and feelings and what we are creating day-by-day. Thoughts and feelings of scarcity, lack and limitation inevitably lead to draining and disempowering attempts at controlling the minutia of our daily lives. This ultimately leads to feelings of powerlessness within and, when this happens, we are giving our power away to fear, the terrorist within. In living with the belief that we are indeed powerless, we become distracted, missing empowering opportunities that purposefully lead us on with our soul’s mission and the realization of our highest visions. Feelings of powerlessness create and attract all those situations into our lives that mirror our fears, causing competition for energy in our relationships and turning all our fears into self-fulfilling prophecies.
It’s not unusual to get to the point of feeling very lost and confused before we can even begin to ask questions like, “What have I done to deserve this?” “Why isn’t my life going as I had planned?” Or, “Why are my relationships with others so unfulfilling?” The answer is that, over a long period of time, we have allowed it to happen. By allowing unconscious intention, as distracting fear-filled thoughts, they become the directors of our lives. We have placed our trust in scarcity and separation, when the only thing truly lacking is conscious intention, devoid of fear’s illusions.
The spiritual master knows that what is created within will also manifest outwardly, understanding that the key to manifesting a joy-filled and abundant life lies in the power of loving, conscious, present intention. Further, when our intention is guided by inner wisdom and the application of universal energetic principles, inner peace and compassion are the result. The highest expression of a human being is, therefore, someone who is at one with self, extending this unity, as peace and compassion, outwardly into the world.
What does it mean to live “the highest expression of one’s self?”
"When your intention is to transfer loving energy, there is no way you can fail.... because in the subtle realms intention is action.”
Quote: L. Laskow, “Healing With Love”.
